Denmark To Deport Ugandan Lesbians

Three Ugandan lesbians are to be deported back to Uganda after their asylum requests were denied. Authorities point to inconsistencies in their stories.

However, Danish gay rights groups believe sexuality alone should qualify them for asylum.

The trio has appealed the Danish court's decision as a last-ditch attempt. They face a one-way trip back home on August 2 if that fails.

Many Ugandans have sought asylum in Europe and America, citing persecution back home.
